To know God and to make Him known

Challenge Aโ€“IV

Students will rise to a challenge.

A Single Mentor. Every Subject. One Year.

The Challenge program is built on a powerful conviction: that a single mentor โ€” one qualified homeschooling parent-director โ€” can guide students across all subjects for a full year, modelling the unity of knowledge.

Students learn that all knowledge works together as an indivisible universe, not a disconnected multiverse. Six classical subjects integrate seamlessly. Weekly seminars focus on exposition, discussion, and debate. Parents assess work; directors mentor; students prepare independently. Together it forms one of the most rigorous and rewarding paths through the high-school years.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked

How does the Director system work?

One qualified homeschooling parent, trained as a Director, mentors a small group of students across every subject for the full year. Students prepare independently at home; community day is for seminars, discussion, and debate.

Can my child get into university with the American Diploma?

Yes. The American Diploma has been recognised by South African universities since 2021. Completing the Challenge program awards 29.5 credits, well above the 22โ€“24 typically required for university-bound students. Globally, CC graduates score above national averages in every subject tested.

How much time per week is required?

Plan on 6โ€“8 hours of independent study per day, four days a week, plus the full community day. The workload is genuine โ€” preparing students for university and life โ€” but the structure is supportive.

What if my child enters Challenge late?

It can be done. Challenge A is the natural entry point at age 12, but motivated older students can join with some catch-up support. Get in touch and we will help discern the right starting level.

What subjects are covered?

Six classical subjects: literature, history, science, mathematics, Latin, and rhetoric/logic โ€” integrated under one Director who shows the unity of all knowledge.
